Gudetama is a Sanrio character who is literally a lazy egg. His caricature is that Gudetama is the yellow yolk and he likes lying down on his egg white blanket. Many from the young generation are enchanted with this lethargic egg because of his disenchantment with working which is something that a lot of people can relate to.
Gudetama is an easy costume to make. You can wear either a Gudetama-inspired outfit consisting of merchandise or look like the lazy egg by wearing a yellow onesie and a DIY cracked egg around your waist.
About Gudetama
Gudetama is formed from two Japanese words: gudegude which connotes the lack of energy and tamago which is “lazy egg”.
