About the Giving Tree
The Giving Tree is the title of the book by Shel Silverstein. It was published in 1964 and has been translated in multiple languages. However, it is also considered as a divisive book in children’s literature because of the controversy where the relationship between the boy and the tree is positive or abusive. The story follows of the giving tree, who keeps giving his apples to the boy in all his life stages (childhood, teenage years, and even in the elderly stage.)
