About Doña Florinda
Doña Florinda is a character from the Mexican sitcom El Chavo del Ocho. In the show, she is introduced as the mother of Quico. She was married to a rich naval officer before the said officer passed away. Throuhgout the show, Florinda is seen to be the love interest of Professor Jirafales. She is also seen in the show as having an apparent superiority complex over her neighbors. Florinda is protective of Quico and is usually seen slapping Don Ramón (as a running gag) each time her son is in distress.
