About Lieutenant Dan

In 1994, a feel-good comedy-drama movie “Forrest Gump” was released. It starred Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump.

While the main plot circulates around Gump, his fellow characters’ story, however, are no less interesting. So let me introduce you to Lieutenant Dan (Gary Sinise), a crude, yet brave soldier whom Gump met as he was in the war in Vietnam.

After the war Lieutenant Dan condemned Gump for not letting him die in the battle as a war hero, he then had to live his life as a handicap since both of his legs were ripped by the explosive. Eventually, Dan and Gump became good friends while both successfully build up shrimp industry.
