About Deer and Headlights
A Deer is a hoofed mammals from the family of Cervidae. They are hunted for game or for sport. Male deer have antlers which make them easier to distinguish from antelopes. Deers are good jumpers and swimmers which can be seen in their portrayal in pop culture and the media. The expression dear in the headlights described a person experiencing fear, just like a deer would when it is almost ran over by a car.
