About Ted Bundy
Ted Bundy was an American serial killer. He targeted young women in the '70s and the total number of his victims were unknown. Ted received two death sentences and even escaped from prison in 1977 until 1978. He died on January 24, 1989 by execution (electrocution).
Bundy was known for his charming personality and good looks, which he often used to gain the trust of his victims. He would approach them under various guises and lure them into his car or a secluded area before attacking and ultimately killing them.
Despite Bundy’s outwardly normal appearance and seemingly successful life—he studied law, worked for political campaigns, and even dated women—his darker side would eventually come to light. He was arrested in 1975 but managed to escape custody twice before being apprehended again in 1978.
During his trial for murder, Bundy famously acted as his own attorney and became known for his manipulative tactics in court. He would charm jurors and even propose marriage to one witness. Ultimately, Bundy was convicted of multiple murders and sentenced to death.
While awaiting execution on death row, Bundy confessed to or hinted at dozens of additional murders that he had committed. He provided some assistance in giving closure to families of some victims but remained largely enigmatic about his actions.
Ted Bundy was executed by electric chair on January 24, 1989. His case has captured public attention due to the violent nature of his crimes, the extent of his deception, and the psychological analysis surrounding him. Many books, documentaries, movies, and discussions have been dedicated to understanding the mind of Ted Bundy as one of America’s most notorious serial killers.
