Cheryl Blossom’s Overall Outfit
Cheryl stands out for the black and red combinations she wears on a daily basis. More often than not, she can be spotted wearing long-sleeve t-shirts or sweaters, shorts and skirts. All black and red.
Today, we’ll cover something of a novelty and a fan favorite in her wardrobe. The floral mesh top with a red high-waisted, flat-front short she wore back in season 1, episode seven: In a Lonely Place. By far one of her most popular outfits so far.
Cheryl Blossom Makeup
For makeup you’ll need Red matte liptstick. Besides the mascara and foundation, there’s something that can’t go missing in your makeup: red matte lipstick. It’s a key element of the whole red theme in all of Cheryl’s outfits. Madelaine Petsch, the actress who brings Cheryl Blossom to life so brilliantly from the comics, has even admitted this to be an essential part of Cheryl’s look.
Riverdale Cheryl vs Comicbook Cheryl
Ever since her first apperance in the 80’s comics, Cheryl Blossom became the official bombshell of the series, a role that she has dragged straight into the TV adaptation. Though her features remain the same, her whole wardrobe went through a dramatic change. Granted, she still wears the long-sleeve shirts, the shorts and the skirts, like she did in the comics, but instead of the traditional blue and yellow, they’ve all changed to black and red, which highlights the mean girl role she plays in this teen drama.
About Cheryl Blossom
Back in the 80’s, Cheryl Blossom, the daughter of Clifford and Penelope Blossom, used to be the new rich girl in town and the center of all the boys’ attention, including Archie, which in many ocassions would upset Betty and Veronica. Aside from that, that was about all the mischief she would cause. There was hardly any ill-intentions or malice in her, but the 2017 drama Riverdale introduced a different take on this seductive red hair and proclaimed her the mean Queen Bee of Riverdale High.
Unlike the classic comic book version, Riverdale Cheryl has had her share of tragedy by losing her twin brother Jason in a misterious accident. Ever since their loss, the Blossom family have grown apart, especially because Ms. Blossom think it was Cheryl who helped Jason run away, thus causing his early demise.
As the series unflold we learn that Cheryl is a manipulative, conceited and intimidating girl with a strong commanding attitude and though she seems to try to be nice from time to time, it’s all just part of a cover to hide her true intentions and make others do as she desires.
