Apu Nahasapeemapetilon is a character from the franchise of The Simpsons. He is introduced as an Indian immigrant who runs a popular convenience store, Kwik-E-Mart in Springfield, and is known for his “thank you, come back” slogan. His store is believed to be a parody of stores such as 7-Eleven and Cumberland Farms and runs stereotypes among which includes high prices and low quality products. Apu is also a naturalized U.S. citizen, and has a Ph.D. in computer science.
